| Mullica Hill Quilt Company’s Courtyard Quarterly Volume 2, Number 1 Winter 2007/Spring 2008 “Supplying the Fabric of Our Heritage” Happy New Year to you all! I hope that all of you had a wonderful holiday and that this newsletter finds you happy and healthy. Our first holiday season here in the shop was wonderful and we extend our warmest thanks and appreciation to all of you who made it so memorable and successful. It is hard for me to believe that we will be celebrating our first anniversary on January 27th. It is so cliché, but time surely does fly when you are having fun and having fun is exactly how to describe this little (BIG) adventure! We will be hosting our anniversary celebration from Thursday, January 24th through Sunday January 27th. We are very busy preparing and can promise you great food, fun, and SAVINGS. Our events will be announced by email and posted on our website. Please check often so as not to miss anything. We certainly hope that you will join us. In an effort to bring all of you the finest and newest releases from the best fabric designers and manufacturers in the country, I have been meeting with my sales reps and purchasing new fabric over the last several months. Believe it or not, it is hard work choosing from all of those mountains of fabric! (A true fabricholic I am.) I am happy to report that I have lived through it (ha!) and from now through spring we will bring you fresh, beautiful, and exciting new lines that I know you will absolutely love! The basics have also been “plumped” up along with our books, patterns, and general fun stuff to play with. After all of that the only thing left to do was figure out what fab and new projects we could offer so that you could use all of this great new stuff. Of course I turned to the best teaching ensemble on the planet and am thrilled to bring you a wonderfully comprehensive and exciting new class roster. You will find that this roster takes us from now until June and is jam-packed with morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend classes and workshops. I want to thank all of you for sharing with me your thoughts and ideas about classes. All of your requests and input were invaluable while we put this roster together and I hope that you will continue to share your thoughts with me. Speaking of sharing, as most of you know my family and I have spent the last few months taking a look at several colleges around the country in an effort to pin-point where our daughter, Meghan will spend the next four years (at least) of her life. At the time of this writing she has received one acceptance and we are waiting to here from several other colleges. I will definitely keep all of you posted on the outcome but wanted to thank so many of you who have shared your experiences and knowledge. You cannot imagine how invaluable it was to Bruce, Meghan, and I. Don’t forget to take some time to review our back page calendar or visit our website www.mhquiltco.com for the dates of all of our upcoming events. I hope to see all of you soon! Piece and good stitches! Annette |
