Pillowcase Magic
Instructor:  Joanne Enos

Everyone must try sewing this pillowcase and we can guarantee that it will be the
first of many.  It is a magical mystery and the outcome is a tailored pillowcase with
a separate edging and accent strip.  It finishes with a French seam and is so easy
that you just won’t believe it.

Miranda Day Bag

Hot Cross Buns

Introduction to Quilting

Teddy Bears, Teddy Bears!

Looking for the perfect baby quilt?  You will just love this beautiful quilt designed
by award winner, Liz Thomas of Heritage Quilting by Design.  You choose the boy
or girl quilt which features a large raw-edge appliquéd teddy bear.  Our teddy-boy
is holding balloons and our teddy-girl is holding a bouquet of flowers.  Additional

our quilts.  This class will make creating your quilt labels as much fun as making

French Rose Buds

way.  This makes a wonderful crib quilt for baby or make it bigger as a romantic

Welcome summer’s lazy days and nights with this quick, pieced throw.  Simple rail
fence blocks with a coordinating outer border make this a great, “next project” for
the beginner.  This quilt makes a beautiful wedding or shower gift for the summer
bride.

Basic Bindings

Learn how to make a basic, accurate French binding with mitered corners and an
extremely easy finish.  This class includes techniques to calculate the fabric
required for your bindings.  You will make a sample in class that you can use as
future reference so that your bindings will be perfect every time.

The Schlep Bag

Sweet Jubilee

This quilt is perfect for the jelly roll enthusiast.  The body of the quilt is made using
2-1/2" wide strips.  By sewing and flipping rectangles you create a braid that is
then cut into blocks.  This quilt can be scrappy or a planned color scheme,
whichever you choose.

Glistening Waters
Instructor:  JoAnne Ross

This fun quilt features horizontal rows of charming pieced fish swimming in
opposite directions.  Using only two blocks, a square, and a half-square triangle, it
goes together quickly.  Half-square triangles are strip-pieced and give you a
chance to hone your piecing
skills.  This is a great pattern for those beautiful "watery" colored and patterned
batiks but would also be stunning in bright fabrics for a child’s room.

String Quilt as You Go

Well, Joanne had her hands full with this one – we just couldn’t offer it enough and
each group had more fun than the one before it.  An easy quilt to make and,
“When you are done, you are done!”  The quilting is done as you go.  This quilt
can be made in flannels or regular cottons and can be finished scrappy or with
sashing and a binding – you decide.

Basic Borders

Learn how to properly add borders to your quilts so that they don’t “wave” or the
center of your quilt doesn’t “flop”.  These things happen to all of us due to bias
edges and it is easy to take control.  You will also learn how to calculate the fabric
needed for your borders.

Spring Sentiments

Ashley to Market

This quick and simple bag is easy to make using 2-1/2" wide strips.  It is a lined
bag with 8 inside pockets and over the shoulder straps.  You can use a jelly roll or
strips you cut yourself.  Either way it’s a blast and beautiful!

Fall’s Splendor

This quilt combines the beautiful colors of fall and a unique log cabin layout.  
Pumpkin and acorn appliqués are fused and blanket stitched by machine or by
hand, whichever you choose.  We will be using speed sewing techniques to put
your blocks together quickly.

Butterfly Fans

Class Policies

  • Class fees are due at registration in the form of cash, credit card, or check
      made payable to Mullica Hill Quilt Company.
  • Registration can be made by phone, mail, or in-person.
  • Registration form with supply list will be issued at time of registration.  
  • Class sizes are limited, please register early.
  • Class fee is for individual student.  Family members, friends, or children are
       not permitted to attend class with you.
  • Mullica Hill Quilt Company will attempt to carry the supplies that our
         instructors indicate.  Patterns/books, supplies, and fabric should be
         purchased prior to the date of class.    
  • If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment a full refund will be
    issued in the form of original payment.
  • If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your class attendance, please
      provide a 7 day notice in order to receive a full refund in the form of
      original payment.  Less than a 7 day notice will result in a forfeiture of the
      class fee.
  • In the case of inclement weather, which results in a class being cancelled,
      every effort will be made to reschedule the class to take place at a similar
      day and time.  Please call Annette at 856-430-0458 when questioning a
      cancellation due to weather conditions.
  • Mullica Hill Quilt Company has excellent quality Pfaff sewing machines and
      Singer Featherweights for use during class at nominal fees.  Please let
      us know at registration if you would like to reserve a machine for your
      class.  Students must provide thread for the machine and bobbin and
      should arrive early to class to familiarize themselves with the machine
      that they will be using.
